These Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeshadow Quads are by no means new, but they are such great little palettes that I had to share it with you. The pigmentation of the shadows are one of my favourites of "drugstore" products and the sheen is very flattering. I wish more of these came out just so I can buy them.
"Give Me Gold" is a very Mary assortment of colours. The gold undertone is so vibrant and absolutely gorgeous on the eyes.
I don't use "Mad for Mauve" as often. I just find purple colours not as flattering on me. The main reason I bought the was for that olive-y green in the middle but then come home to realise that I don't have much to match it. Guess this means I need to buy more makeup. ;) I was also a little disappointed how that dark colour was not very purple but almost borderlines a dark taupe.
These do blend very well and are a travel friendly size. The plastic packaging is quite sturdy but does feel cheap in the hands. You can see in the photos above that because many of the colours are so shimmery you do often have a little fallout in the palettes. The quads are reasonably priced so there's no excuse why you shouldn't have at least one of these brilliant little babies.
