[PROJECT PAN 30] by M: #4 This is the end

I started my project pan on May 18th. It is now August. That was a whooping 3 months of no spending money on unnecessary beauty products. I actually finished this earlier this month, it so I have already done some shopping in between.

25.9 Biore Pore strips
  • Awesome as always.
  • Repurchase? Definitely

25.10 (&25.11) Formula 10.0.6 Down to the Pore
  • Look forward to seeing a review on these soon.
  • Repurchase? No

26. Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser
  • I bought this to compliment my acne medication a long time ago. Definitely a great cleanser. Shame that it made my dry skin even dryer, well it is designed for oily skin after all
  • Repurchase? Maybe if my skin goes back to oily

27. Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleanser
  • This was actually a really good cleanser. The "tea tree" amount in there was not that high as other products but because of this the scent is not too strong. The foam form definitely helps with it being gentle on the skin.
  • Repurchase? Yes

28. Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Toner
  • You probably notice that there is still a little left in the bottle. I've had this bottle for so long that it was about time for it to be thrown out. This is an extremely strong alcoholic toner. My skin felt very tingly the first time I used it (almost burning?). Really did not improve the appearance of my blackheads.
  • Repurchase? No

29. Carrot Growth Serum
  • This was recommended by the Korean hairdresser after I had permed and coloured my hair ages ago.  I used it on wet hair before I blow dry it and sometimes afterwards to make it look healthy. This smells really good and it is an oil based product so a small amount is all you need, otherwise it will weigh your hair down. This is also why it has taken me so long to finish it. I probably won't buy it again any time soon because my hair is a lot shorter now and I want to use lighter products in it.
  • Repurchase? No

30. Vitacreme B12
  • As seen in my recent winter skincare routine, this has been something I've used to help my skin heal. It's an ok product but there was not enough visible difference to warrant me repurchasing this slightly pricey product. I really don't like creams that come in metal tubing because it is so hard to get everything out, plus I'm always paranoid about the casing rusting because you're continuously bending it.
  • Repurchase? No

31. Tony Moly Crystal BB Cream
  • Another nostalgic product, my very first bb cream from years ago (from Court actually). This is an extremely light base that actually made it look like I was wearing no makeup at all. Definitely not one for when you need coverage because it is a slightly dewy sheer product that just makes you glow (in a good way). There is a very small product left in the tube but because it has been so long I'm definitely not putting it on my face.
  • Repurchase? Unfortunately it has been discontinued.

Well it has been fun and I definitely recommend everyone to do one of these every now and then. It is a great way to use up products (and make more space for new ones). For the first time in a long time I can actually see the bottom of my vanity table.

I am still trying to save money now and only buying really necessary products. Court and I are planning on going to the US next year (YAY) so imagine how much stuff we can buy there. Then again, aren't we forever saving?

  1. I've been trying to pan up for about a year, but since the beauty boxes came up my plan has gone in the trash! I love seeing used products or finishing up a product, it feels like a massive triumph! I'm twiddling my fingers about skinfood, it must be in the title "skinfood" makes me want to buy it and feed my skin!

    1. It feels amazing finish a product (or 30). Skinfood is a great brand, I would say that some of their products are a little gimmicky but there are a few gems in there. Sometimes you may not be amazed, but you won't be disappointed. The prices online are not too bad, but I bought a lot of my stuff in Korea where it is crazily cheap.

  2. It's more exciting buying new products when you buy less of them and get through your current stash :)

    1. I know right. I still have so much to go through though. Haha. I'm on a very limited spending regiment at the moment. So hopefully this helps tip the balance a little more.
