[CREATION] by C: Being a Make Up Artist for Black Label Kreatives

I am certainly not a qualified makeup artist but I am very much interested in make up (if you haven't noticed already). As part of the Black Label Kreatives we have sessions where we showcase the creative side of ourselves. We do this through dance, photography, and make up.

Our last gathering was a make up session and I let my inner creative child go "wild".

I had gorgeous friends Alice & Nug to work with to try out different looks. On Alice, I went for the leopard look, exaggerating her eyes with black eyeliner and intensifying the inner corners. The leopard print was achieved by using matte brown eyeshadow as the base, and gold eyeshadow as the prints. The lines of the prints were outlined using a liquid eyeliner. Since her eyes were so intense, I kept her lips subtle and nude.

I then went on to do Nug's face. We have a ball coming up which is themed "Cirque du Soleil" so I found this a great opportunity to try out some looks for the occasion. I used mainly pink and purple to add some colours while drawing two wings to make it seem mysterious and playful.

Applying make up on other people has got to be a tough job since you don't know their faces well enough. It is very experimental and risky, but what fun is it if you already knew the results of it? ;) I wish I had more oppotunities to apply make up on other people. Any volunteers?

Hope you guys enjoyed these looks!

Love, Court.
